EY CHARITY CHASER

EY

Jay Ridder of EY will stand at the Baltimore Running Festival start line with 5,000 other racers on October 12. But after the gun fires, he’ll watch them all stream by before starting his 26.2-mile journey through the city streets. As the Charity Chaser, Jay will race from behind to pass as many runners as he can. For each, he’ll earn $5 for Back on My Feet (BOMF). Back on My Feet is a national for-purpose 501(c)3 organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness transform their own lives and achieve employment and independent living.

This is the third consecutive year EY has signed on as the Charity Chaser sponsor.  Jay and EY will also raise funds through a donation page that will directly benefit BOMF.

Jay is the Office Managing Partner of EY’s Baltimore office and East Market Segment Leader. He has more than 22 years of experience with EY serving life and health, property and casualty, and managed care insurance companies. Jay previously served as Insurance Industry Leader for EY’s Mid-Atlantic region and as the EY National Practice Managed Care Leader. He is a CPA licensed in Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. He received his BA in accountancy from Franklin & Marshall College.

The Baltimore Running Festival will be Jay’s eighth marathon in the last eight years. He has completed the New York City and Philadelphia marathons along with numerous half marathons and 10-milers.
