The 2020 Baltimore Running Festival will be run as a virtual event. Although this is not the decision any of us wanted, ultimately it was the only choice, and we look forward to continuing to support you through your run, even virtually! With 5 great distances, the 5k, the 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon and our BRAND NEW 26.2 Challenge, there’s something for everyone. So get registered today and then check out the next steps below!
I registered to run virtually… what next?!
1.) JOIN OUR VIRTUAL COMMUNITY HERE. We created a special Virtual Run BRF Facebook Group to encourage the community race day feel we all know and love. The page will have all the information you need to complete your run, as well as interactive activities, special guest appearances, encouragement & race day tips.
While most of our virtual fun will happen on our Facebook page, you can also join us on our other social media accounts. You can find us on Instagram at @BaltimoreRunFest and Strava @Baltimore Running Festival.
We’ll also be sending out need to know information through emails.
2.) Prepare for your race day:
- Download your bib HERE
- Make sure to download RaceJoy NOW to get the complete race day experience!
- Please note RaceJoy will NOT work for the 26.2 Challengers
- Keep checking out our online run community for tips, tricks and fun
- Check out our Run Baltimore Training Program
3.) How to Run virtually:
We’re encouraging everyone to complete their race on October 17th for a true race day feel. However, you’re free to do your race ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!
You may use whatever timing and distance tracking method/app that you chose. You are not required to submit your time, however if you want your time posted online, you must submit your time HERE by October 19th. Regardless of whether or not you submit your time, you will get your premium and medal.
If you’re completing the 26.2 Mile Challenge see HERE for instructions on recording and updating your results over the course of the challenge. Those in the challenge will have until October 30th to record their results.
4.) Enjoy your SWAG!
We will be sending out information regarding premium and medal distribution shortly. We will be holding a live, safe & socially distanced packet pick up (more info TBA). If you do not attend, your premium and medal will get mailed to you at no extra charge.
Our current goal is to try and get as many packets to runners as possible prior to the official race day of October 17th.
